Studies say an average woman exposes herself to 515 chemicals as a result of her beauty products every single day (granted this study was conducted in the UK, but I doubt there is a vast difference between the US and UK in those terms). Personally this statistic is terrifying but it doesn’t shock me. Admittedly I have never heeded the warnings and switched any of my beauty products from mass market to organic in an effort to reduce my chemical intake.
As I am starting to grow further from my adolescent years, I’m realizing my habits need to change. Heart disease, diabetes, and a slowing metabolism are real so my eating and exercise routines have started to make gradual changes for the better. This weekend I realized that maybe I need to start migrating my beauty routines from oxypads and clean and clear to something a little more sophisticated too, enter Amala*.
To make it short and sweet, Amala is a 100 percent certified organic skincare brand made with all of the good stuff sans chemicals, parabens pretty much all of the modern day evils. I’ve just started using the purify line of treatment, and so far I am liking it. The cleanser and toner are very gentle finding the perfect balance of cleaning skin without stripping it of all the essential oils your face needs. Hopefully I see a vast improvement in skin texture by switching to the good stuff. Stay tuned for future review!
